Mercurio Pallia Logistics(MPL) a 50:50 JV between Gruppo Mercurio Spa (GM SPA) of Italy and Pallia Transport Co.Pvt. Ltd. (PTC) was launched in March 2009. GM SPA is a leading company from Italy with global dominance in the automotive logistics sector. GM SPA offer end-to-end automotive supply chain solutions including Logistics, stock yard management and pre delivery inspection. Their operations are present across Italy, France, Netherlands, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Lithuania, Germany, Argentina, Chile and now India via the joint venture company. Their clients include leading global automotive companies like General Motors, Fiat, Suzuki, Renault etc.
PTC has been present in Indian car tranportation industry since 1984. The JV company, Mercurio Pallia ever since its inception in India, has covered considerable ground in terms of increasing volume, Pan India Presence, adding new clients and expanding as per the future automotive logistics trend in India. Major clients include Mahintra, Tata Motors, Maruti Suzuki, General Motors, Renault, Honda, Toyota (through Transystem) &Hyundai (through Glovis). MPL also started transportation of trucks in carriers during the last fiscal year. Future business prospects in India includes -Stockyard Management, PDI, Multi Modal Transportation. In addition to this, a trailer fabrication unit is being setup through a new 100% Subsidary Company Mercurio Pallia Autowork for its own requirement as well as for markets in India and abroad. This unit should be fully operational by November 2010.
